Micah's B-day!

Four years ago today The Lord blessed me with my last sibling! Micah Ethan was...well...a surprise to more than one family member! Being the oldest of six I had come to love and hate being told that another "Bundle of Joy" was on his/her way! Not only did it mean more anxiety for me over whether the child would be a boy or girl but it also meant that sooner (rather than later) someone would receive a new (loud) roommate. For the announcement my parents took us to the beach and it was absolutely freezing! By the way! I kinda have this thing called "baby intuition". What that means exactly is this...I know when a baby is coming!! Okay, maybe I eavesdropped on my Dad when he told a Deacon in our church that mum was pregnant! But come on! Mum was starting to look round. Anyway, when they told us that we would have another sibling we all went ecstatic! I believe someone even started doing backflips! Then the count down began! And what a count down it was! So when six months came and Mum went to get her sonogram I was on edge!! When they came home I stood next to the couch and Mum told me,"It's a boy!" I smiled and tried to put a brave face on. Unfortunately, that face didn't last long! I burst into tears because (of course I already had Felicity) but I had hoped against hope that this sibling would be a girl! Well, four years later and I absolutely adore Micah!

My Best Friends and My Best Friend Forever

So just this past week one of my Best Friends left for the front lines of the Christian War!! She is doing Gods work in a part of the world that has the most amount of REAL Christians...but also the most persecution. I pray for that person everyday!! My other two best friends are just now returning from a three week holiday. And I missed them soooooo much!!!! Ever since I have met them they have been constantly challenging me to be the Christian that God wants me to be. I treasure these young lady's very much...they're kinda like sisters to me. And they probably won't ever realise how much they mean to me!! I have to keep reminding myself, though, to make time for my Best Friend Forever, Jesus. When we came to London four years ago there were no girls my age at church. And when I turned 13 I became a Sunday school teacher. This actually made the younger girls gravitate towards me more. When I turned 15 last year the Lord sent a girl of about 26 to our church. She later moved into our house, and now resides in our library! :) Two other girls came to our church soon after. Florie is 28 and is studying homeopathy. Corre ( 28)is a chemical engineer and a pianist. They all have had their ways of encouraging me in my spiritual walk with God!! I have recently begun to put two and two together. And I realised that God sent these girls when I needed them. The teen years are a struggle, and that's why He sent them to me now and not when I was 13 and was just starting to learn to see God as my Best Friend Forever!!!! Seriously!!!!!! I love the verse In Proverbs 18:24 that says " There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother." Wow!!!!!!!!

Thankfulness

I had a wonderful time yesterday at church!! A friend of mine ( Florie ) was baptised and we celebrated Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee!!!! The only sad thing about yesterday was that my family ( all eight of us )had to walk to and from church in the rain. It was quite comical actually. We had two prams loaded with Marks and Spencers bags, nappy bags, and Avon bags. Then Felicity ( 5 ) and Micah ( 3 ) were in the prams holding umbrellas and still managing to get themselves soaked in the process!! Zachary ( 12 ) was pushing Felicity's pram while I was attempting to keep him and myself dry. Mum ( I am not about to tell you how old she is ) was in front of Zachary and I ( who by the way were bringing up the rear ) was dressed in red from her skirt and shoes all the way to her ladybug umbrella!! In front of Mum was Stephen ( 14 ) pushing Micah's pram and Jacob ( 8 ) carrying an umbrella that looked like a jellyfish ( I kid you not ). Micah and Felicity sang most of the way to church I believe. And Daddy marched on wards to church occasionally yelling an order back at the rest of us. His orders were as follows, " Step it up kids" and " I want to get to church to make sure the heats on", " Don't splash in the puddles Jacob you will be soaked for church". So, like I said before very comical. But we got to church on time and we were able to watch the Jubilee with a very good friend of ours. So I took a pic of Judith and my Mum. I hope you like it!!!!!!!!

This is a letter written to my Creativity!!

Dear Creativity,

The reason for this letter should be quite clear. You have deserted me!! And the reprobation that I feel towards you is, I believe, justified.Your recent lack of concern for my well being is completely unforgivable. But I digress. I believe that the quarrel that arose yesterday was do to the fact that I have been pressuring you to much lately. You lacked inspiration...and in turn I lost my motivation. It is not ENTIRELY you fault that I lacked what is commonly called "Imagination". Though, I do believe that the blame is in part yours. No, I am not asking for your forgiveness!! Nor, do I wish to pressure you into something so distasteful!! But the problem remains. My book is going nowhere and I'm sure that you would like to be employed in a good rewarding job. Namely, helping me finish my writing. Therefore, I have devised a plan. If you come back and help me in the few areas that I lack Creativity then in turn I will nurture you till you are fit to burst!!!! Provided that you are willing to admit your wrongs and to cope with my small inabilities as best as you can. The proposition should be a very tantalising one, indeed. Feel free to come back any time you like as I have taken to being a nun in my spare time.

Sincerely,
Emily Jane
